Resources for Real Estate Brokers
Help your clients address legal questions before they slow the deal
You know the property, the market, and your client. When a lease term, title exception, ownership question, or contract deadline calls for legal aate with their brokers when the clients authorize it.
When should you bring in an attorney?
The most useful time is while your client still has room to make a decision or negotiate a term. That may be before an LOI is sent, during contract drafting, or before an inspection or title objection deadline. I can also join a transaction already underway when a legal question comes up.
You remain the client’s broker. I handle the legal work we agree to take on and, with the client’s permission, keep you informed about issues affecting the transaction.
Have a client who could use legal help?
Send me the client’s name, the other parties for a conflict check, the property, a brief description of the issue, and the next deadline. Please wait to send confidential details or documttention, I can help with that part of the transaction while you continue to lead the brokerage relationship.
